The 2022-2023 school year is the 6th year in a row that Indian Hills Middle School will be hosting History Day! This year’s national theme is Frontiers in History: Peoples, Places, Ideas.
7th grade students in Mrs. Harrison’s and Ms. Shaw’s classes were asked to pick a topic connected to Utah to research, study, and create a presentation for others to learn from. Students have a wide variety of presentation styles to pick from, including: a video, a presentation slideshow, a panorama display, an interactive exhibit, etc.
The staff at Indian Hills is excited to open our doors for parents, guardians, and community members to visit the school’s Warrior Room and Library Media Center to view student submissions. If you plan to come to Indian Hills here are a few things to remember:
- All visitors must sign in at the front office and wear a badge that identifies them as a visitor
- January 5th is a regular school bell schedule, so students will be in class during your visit
- Visitors will be moving from the Warrior Room (north west corner of the building) to the Library Media Center (east side of the building) to view all submissions
- 7th grade students will also be viewing the History Day submissions throughout each class period as well
